SCHC is taking part in this special week-long giving campaign to support our mission of providing medical, behavioral health, and pain management services to the underserved and underinsured in the Shenango Valley.
About Sharon Community Health Center
For over 25 years, SCHC has been dedicated to serving approximately 1,700 patients annually, ensuring that everyone has access to essential healthcare services. We accept most insurances, including Medicaid and Medicare, and offer a sliding fee scale and payment plans when applicable for those without insurance based on family size and income.
Giving Week Focus – Social Health Needs
At Sharon Community Health Center, we’re committed to addressing the social and economic factors that directly affect our patients’ health. One growing need is ensuring access to healthy, nutritious food to help manage chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.
Without support, many of our patients struggle to maintain the dietary habits that are essential to controlling these conditions and avoiding complications.
How Your Donations Help
With your support, additional funding would help us:
- Expand the variety and quantity of healthy food we offer through our food bank partnership
- Track the impact of improved nutrition on diabetes (via A1C measurements) and hypertension (via blood pressure readings)
- Launch a remote blood pressure monitoring program so patients can manage their health more effectively at home
Together, we can remove barriers to better health and improve quality of life for those we serve.
